The FRONTUP! project is presented on the windows of Arts Access Victoria (AAV) 222 Bank Street South Melbourne.
This project involved a conversation with the D/deaf and Disabled community in the City of Port Phillip.
Sittings in a safe space allowing for a natural connection and the sharing of common experiences. The drawings were made
with one single continuous black line as I observed the sitter for the duration of the drawing. Not looking away from the subject, the line happened quickly and intuitively. Watercolour was later used to give further form and life to the artwork. The final images were then
enlarged and placed around the exterior of the AAV building. Front Up! aims to represent and empower the
D/deaf and Disabled community through the creative process of portrait drawing.
