Adam Knapper
Adam Knapper is a Melbourne based visual artist. Coming out of the 1980's graffiti-art movement, Knapper is inspired by people, places, and events from within Melbourne’s rich cultural landscape. Knapper creates artworks that utilise painting and drawing as a way of unravelling and revealing the complexities of the human condition. Recent solo exhibitions include Down the Line, online exhibition, 2020; Mind Fields, Bundoora Homestead Arts Centre, Melbourne, 2020; Imaginarium, survey exhibition and public mural, the Dax Centre, Melbourne, 2014; and group exhibitions Formation, The Dax Centre, Melbourne, 2019; Disability Pride Mural, public mural, Melbourne, 2018; Disquiet Minds, The Dax Centre, Melbourne, 2017. Knapper was awarded first prize and poster publication, Mental Health Foundation Australia Poster Exhibition, 2017, and first prize, Connected 10, State Trustees Art Exhibition, 2010, and his artworks are represented in private and public collections including The Cunningham Dax Collection, Victorian Government and St Vincent’s Hospital.
